My Small but Consistent Practices

I try to weave brain-friendly habits into my daily routine. For instance, I make it a point to stay hydrated and eat foods rich in omega-3 and antioxidants — like nuts, seeds, and fruits. Exercise, even if it’s just a 20-minute walk, helps me clear mental clutter and improves my mood.

I’ve also found meditation to be a game-changer. Just 10 minutes of mindful breathing gives me mental clarity and calms my racing thoughts. Reading books — both fiction and non-fiction — has also become a way to not only learn but to train my brain to focus deeply.

Another underrated practice is social interaction. Spending time with close friends or simply having a heartfelt conversation with family lifts a kind of mental fog I sometimes don’t even realize I’m carrying.
